Hi,

Greetings from Malaysia and I decided to blog so as to share my life experiences with as many people as possible. At the same time, I would like to know about other people life experiences so that I can establish the similarities and differences of each of our esperiences so that we can conclude why some of us are successful and happy, some are successful but not happy, some are not that successful yet happy and finally those who are not successful and not happy. Life is different to different people and our expectation from it is different. Thus, it is important that we share our experiences and who knows, one of our experiences may help someone attain his or her own success and happiness.

To start the ball rolling, I would offer to share my own xperiences and hope that others will offer to share theirs as well.

I have always been interested to ascertain the basis on why some people are successful while many others are not. I consider myself to be one of those who are reasonably lucky as I have achieved a certain level of success at a very young age and as a result have been able to live comfortably all my life.Afterall, I started life in a veru humble environment and is a product of the slumps of Kuala Lumpur know as Jinjang. The very name of this place drove fear into many people back in the sixties and seventies. People who lived in this village of a hundred thousands, mostly Chinese Malaysians are popularly called Jinjang Gangsters. Thanks to the school that I went to, a missionary school, I was able to have enough sense to keep away from negative activities and kept to the path that led me toward a more fulfilling life. I am believe that I am a product of my environment and it has been my best teacher!

Academically, I am an average student and professionally, I have enjoyed my career in the various jobs that I have been engaged in over the last thirty-five years. I believe that I am a good learner and and have kept on learning as I enjoyed this activity. My interest range from religions to history, current affairs to personal development and business to politics.
these keep my mind and purpose in life going.

I am professionally qualified in accounting and business management and administration. Experience-wise, I have worked and done well in all the jobs that I have accepted. From accounts clerk to my last job as the CEO of a business management school. I enjoyed every stage of my career and found that each of these careers offered much learning opportunities. From the people I worked with to the people I served, i.e. my customers, many of whom became good friends.

Since I was a child, I have been fortunate that I have always had good teachers while I was a student; good bosses when I was at work and subsequently when I got into business, I had reasonably good partners most of the time. I have been greatly indebted to these people who helped shaped my life and helped me progress in my career.

In my social life, I had  and still have good friends and people who share common interest in the various activities that I am involved in. I got involved in the world's largest community and humanitariean services organisation, the International Association of Lions Clubs, when I was twenty-six years old and derived much satisfaction serving the various portfolios that the organization offered. Again, I found myself learning much from my fellow members and served at all levels including serving as its District Governor in the year 1996/1997.

At my current age which has just passed the retirement ballmark, I have accumulated sufficient resources to live a modestly comfortable life. However, I have no intention of resting on my laurels but instead have embarked on another phase of learning and sharing with anyone and everyone that I have the opportunity to share with. I get paid sometimes for sharing but most of the time, I do it for free. I believe that by continuing to share and learn from each other, we will continue to live a more fulffilling and enriching life.

This is my first installment of my sharing and I sincerely hope that someone out there will want to share his or her experience with me.

Be Happy, healthy, Wealthy and Successful in Life!

Cheers!

Sam
